Bradford on-line calculators are simple tools designed to help you with your project. If you need more detailed calculators please see our DesignSmart program, or contact Bradford for more information.
The Bradford Coverage calculator will quickly calculate how many packs of insulation you need to cover your house ceiling, wall or floor. You simply need to select your batt product, then the area to be covered. The calculator will tell you how many packs you need to insulate your ceiling, wall or floor.
The Bradford condensation calculator will help you determine how much insulation you need to help prevent condensation. Simply enter the cool side temperature & relative humidity, followed by the warm side temperature and Bradford product.
The coverage calculator quickly helps you determine how much insulation you need to insulate the ceiling or wall of a house. Simply select the Bradford ceiling or wall batt from the product drop down, then the R value of the batt you intend to use. Select the width of your batt which should correspond to the widths of the ceiling joists/wall studs/floor joists where you intend to fit your batts. Enter the area to cover and the calculator will determine the number of packs you need.

The condensation calculator makes it easy to determine the critical dewpoint temperature and the minimum product thickness to assist in preventing condensation forming in your structure. The calculator can be used for both building and HVAC applications
Simply enter the warm side temperature and warm side Relative Humidity then the cool side temperature of the structure you are insulating. Then enter the surface air film resistance (click the information icon for more information).
Select the Bradford product from the product drop down, and press calculate. The warm side dewpoint temperature and design product minimum thickness will be calculated from your requirements.
The resistance values of surface air films decrease with increasing surface roughness, increasing air movement over the surface and increasing emittance (which is decreasing reflectance)
An approximation of Thermal resistance of Air films (Rs) is as follows:
